The Gate City Wrestling Club resumes offseason training on SUNDAY, March 12, 2017, 10am at the Nashua Boys & Girls Club gym. Practices will be held Sundays 10am & Wednesdays 7:30-9pm. This is an off season high school & middle school (7th-8th grade) club. Our Facebook page:http://www.facebook.com/GateCityWrestlingClub Follow Gate City on Twitter @Gate_City. WHEN: Sundays 10am-11:30am and WEDNESDAYS, 7:30-9pm WHERE: Nashua Boys & Girls Club, 1 Positive Place (formerly known as 47 Grand Ave -- same old place) COST: FREE, but members join the Nashua Boys and Girls Club, cost $35 per year YOU MUST BRING: This form, filled out + $35 membership fee. http://www.bgcn.com/mlb-content/uploads/membership1.pdf (Don't be intimidated by the form; most of the information is for club membership stats and has nothing to do with wrestling.) If you don't have the $$ or form, COME ANYWAY. The important thing is to be on the mat; we'll take care of the paperwork later. Practices are run by Coach Kris Rowlette, a federal law enforcement agent who was a New England High School Champion, multiple time state champion, and Division 1 collegiate wrestler. Cost if FREE, but anyone wishing to continue after an introductory session must join the Nashua Boys Club, which has annual dues of $35 per year (fee waivers available for those who are not in a position to pay). Membership allows full access to club including gym, weight room, teen center, and pool. Strong drilling partners are our main goal. Many of our members also train at the Barn & Doughboy, and have placed and won in Div 1, Div 2, Div 3, MOC and New Englands. The club was founded in 2010, and was originally intended as an off season club offering a low cost (but advanced technique, high intensity) training opportunity for North, South and BG wrestlers. In 2011, we merged with the Hollis/Brookline/Merrimack-based Honeybadger club. Our current roster includes wrestlers from North, South, Guertin, H/B, Alvirne, Merrimack, Pinkerton, and Londonderry. APPAREL: We sell (and loan) singlets to club members, and sell Tshirts, hoodies and shorts. To join, just show up for a workout (this spring it's Sundays 10am, and WEDNESDAYS 7:30-9pm, Nashua Boys Club, 1 Positive Place (formerly 48 Grand Ave.,) Nashua. If you continue after the initial workout, you will be required to join the Nashua Boys and Girls Club. Feel free to ask me questions on this thread. Again -- if you don't have the cash or form, COME ANYWAY. The important thing is to be on the mat; we'll take care of the paperwork later. Note: We are not a paid club. Our goal in posting this information is not to generate revenue. We are PRO-Barn and PRO-Doughboy. Their coaches and trainers at those clubs are very good to us. Coach Rowlette encourages wrestlers to join the many excellent paid clubs in the Merrimack Valley. Our goal in posting this information is to add even more quality drilling partners to our mat to maximize everyone's development.
